Both of these events were an opportunity for various sectors within the timber industry to come together, socialise and recognise outstanding businesses and achievements from 2015.

The 2015 TABMA Award winners were:

  • Best Frame and Truss Operation – Footersville Structural Timber Solutions SA
  • Best Timber Merchant – Ramiens Timber NSW
  • Best Building Materials Centre – Bretts Home Timber & Hardware QLD
  • Wholesaler of the Year – Gunnersen
  • Most Innovative TABMA Member – Programmed Timber Supplies NSW
  • Member of the Year – ITI Australia Pty Ltd

  • Trainee of the Year – Mark Smith from NBS Frame & Truss NSW

  • Sales Representative of the Year – Jacinta Colley, Simmonds Lumber QLD.

TABMA’s chief executive officer Colin Fitzpatrick said the event was a resounding success.

“Almost 300 guests attended the gala event held at the spectacular Dockside in Sydney’s Cockle Bay, which overlooks Darling Harbour.

“The general consensus was that everybody had a great evening networking and dancing to the cover band “˜Australian Played’,” he said.

The Queensland Timber Industry Cocktail Evening, held on 24 October 2015, brought together TABMA members from across QLD to celebrate the successes of the local timber industry.

Alicia Oelkers, TABMA’s Queensland state manager, said the event was a great opportunity for the Queensland industry to come together and celebrate their hard work.

“I think everyone really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere of the cocktail function that brought Queensland’s timber industry colleagues and friends together in the one place. The back drop of the Brisbane city lights was also spectacular” she said.
