Many of the newer employees at Richers Transport and Hyne Timber wouldn’t remember a time when these two historic companies weren’t working together in partnership.
In recognition of their 30 years working together, Richers Transport has presented Hyne Timber with a framed photo for display at the Tuan Mill.
Shane Robertson, Hyne Timber’s commercial and development manager, said the presentation was well received and much appreciated.
“We all work hard in our day to day business together, especially in the despatch area of the Tuan Mill.
“This presentation enabled a moment to stop and reflect on 30 years of working together to deliver timber across the eastern seaboard,” he said.
Graham Richers, managing director of Richers Transport and second-generation owner, said Hyne Timber is one of their longest customers since the company’s establishment in 1935.
“Supplying transport services to Hyne Timber for 30 years has seen us grow and develop together, evolving to meet emerging demands, new technology and safety enhancements for our employees.
“Recently, we embraced the same processes at our Tuan Mill despatch area as the Hyne Timber employees. We are using consistent systems and measures to achieve maximum results and align our work flow,” he said.
Recently, these systems and training processes contributed to Hyne Timber winning big at the Queensland Training Awards in the Large Employer of the Year category.
The picture presentation will now be proudly displayed at the Tuan Mill main office.
