Japanese quality tools now have local availability and website.
Workers have personal preferences when it comes to top-quality forestry tools, but power, light weight and premium performance are on everyone’s list. Japanese brand Echo’s X Series delivers on all fronts and is now available in Australia.
The X series chainsaws are designed and tested for performance in extreme conditions, including the brand’s trademark ES-Start technology – a spring-assisted system that starts the 25cc, 1.11kW petrol engine easily.
With a dry weight of just 2.3kg (without bar and chain), the CS-2511TES top handle chainsaw – one of three in the series – is the brand’s most compact saw to date, and yet it delivers the best power-to-weight ratio on the market. It’s highly manoeuvrable and can be used for long periods with little user fatigue thanks to its ergonomic design that maximises both comfort and performance.
Grouped controls and an innovative top handle, along with a swing-out lanyard ring that has been positioned for greater balance and easy climbing, makes this saw perfect for heights. It’s suitable for bar lengths from 20-30cm and also features vibration reduction to increase comfort when handling, low emission engines to allow for extended running times and better air filtration, all for an RRP of $799.
In addition to the chainsaws, the Echo X-series range includes trimmers and brushcutters, power pruners, blowers and a multi-tool system.
The new Australian availability comes as an exclusive distribution deal with Briggs & Stratton, that includes local websites for both Echo and Shindaiwa, another respected Japanese brand. The sites include the range of products available in Australia, as well as local dealer information and pricing.
