VUETRADE had been collecting data from both within Australia and markets overseas for a while, seeing black powder coated brackets gaining traction and becoming increasingly popular. Grant Brown, VUETRADE’s National Sales Manager, had been doing further research at trade shows across the country to see what kind of interest there would be for timber connectors in black.

“Our goal was to have a texture and feel that would not only look great, but also that we knew would last in Australian conditions. Basically, products that we would want to install ourselves. This involved numerous attempts and iterations to achieve the correct shade and coating, to be confident that this would maintain the same quality our hot-dipped galvanized connectors are known for” Renshaw explained.
